Editable PDFs in the Western Toolkit make it easy to personalize existing materials without changing the original design. Follow the steps below to create a finished copy for printing, emailing, or sharing.
1. Download the Editable PDF
Download the file from the Western Toolkit and save it to your computer.
For best results, open the downloaded file in Adobe Acrobat rather than editing it directly in your web browser.
2. Customize the Document
Click into the editable fields and replace the existing information with the details you need.
Before creating your finished copy, review the document to make sure:
- All editable fields have been completed
- Names, contact information, and other details are correct
- No sample or placeholder information remains
- The document looks the way you want it to appear
3. Create Your Finished PDF
When your document is ready:
- Go to File > Print.
- Select your PDF printer instead of a physical printer.
- Choose the appropriate pages if the document contains multiple pages and you only need a portion of the file.
- Click Print.
- Choose where you would like to save the new PDF.
- Give the finished file a clear name and click Save.
Printing the customized document to PDF creates a finished copy that is ready to share without altering your original editable file.
4. Review Before Sharing
Open the newly created PDF and give it one final review before printing, attaching it to an email, or sharing it with a customer.
Keep Your Editable Copy
We recommend keeping the original editable PDF so you can easily customize it again for another customer, project, or opportunity.
